About Our Band

For musicians who have been playing their chosen instrument for at least 12 months, Southern Area Wind Band provides a supportive and fun environment to learn and develop ensemble and instrumental skills. Our band includes players ranging from primary school age to retirees, with the playing standard at AMEB Grade 2.

The Wind Band performs at a number of indoor and outdoor community venues throughout the year, including the Wind Band annual concert.

Catherine Bates is a professional music educator and has been the conductor of Wind Band since 2024.

We welcome new players at any time.
